Qumi Ori - Arise, Shine
There are seasons in life where you feel stuck.
Not just tired. Not just busy. But spiritually stuck. Emotionally stuck. Like you’ve been wandering through a desert season for far longer than you expected. You keep waiting for clarity, for breakthrough, for direction — wondering if God still sees you there.
I think many of us know that feeling.
The feeling of carrying a dream inside of you while also carrying fear, exhaustion, doubt, disappointment, or grief. The feeling of knowing deep down that you were created for more, while simultaneously feeling unable to move forward.
That is part of the story behind Qumi Ori.
The name “Qumi Ori” comes from the Hebrew words found in Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.” — Isaiah 60:1 (KJV) In Hebrew, “Qumi” means arise or stand up. “Ori” means shine or be illuminated.
Together, they form a call: Arise. Shine. Wake up to who God created you to be.
This verse has spoken deeply to me because I believe there are moments when God calls us out of survival mode and into purpose.
Moments when He says: It’s time. Time to stop hiding. Time to stop shrinking. Time to stop wandering in circles in the desert.
In the Bible, the desert was never just a place of punishment. It was often a place of preparation. God met people in the wilderness. He refined them there. Strengthened them there. Spoke to them there. But eventually, there came a moment when they had to move. A moment when God called them forward.
I believe many people are living in that exact space right now — exhausted, burned out, disconnected from themselves, disconnected from peace, and craving restoration on a deeper level.
That is the heart behind Qumi Ori.
This isn’t just a wellness brand to me. It’s a space rooted in restoration — mind, body, and spirit. A place created with intention. A place where people can slow down, breathe deeply, heal, reset, and reconnect with themselves and with God.
The products and services offered here are meant to support wellness physically, but the deeper vision goes beyond that. I want people to walk into this space and feel peace. I want them to feel safe to rest. Safe to heal. Safe to begin again.
Because sometimes healing begins the moment we finally stop striving long enough to listen. Sometimes the most life-changing thing we can do is answer the quiet call God has been placing on our hearts all along.

This business was born out of my own season of growth, stretching, uncertainty, and faith. There were moments where I questioned everything. Moments where I felt unqualified, overwhelmed, or afraid to move forward. But over and over again, I felt God gently calling me to rise anyway. Not because I had everything figured out. Not because the path was perfectly clear. But because obedience often begins before confidence does.
And maybe that’s where you are too. Maybe you’ve been sitting in your own desert season wondering when things will finally change. Maybe you’ve been feeling the pull toward something deeper, healthier, more aligned, more purposeful — but fear has kept you planted where you are.
